About Little Stour Orchard

Little Stour Orchard was founded in 2011 by Sarah Bowers. Sarah owns an orchard in Kent where she and husband Michael grow 3 varieties of English apple. With an established orchard, Sarah and Michael wanted to get into the business of making their own apple juice, cider and vinegar.

Little Stour Orchard's Requirements

They approached Vigo with a requirement for a system which would allow them to mill and press at a high throughput. They also wanted to effectively pasteurise and bottle their product.

The Solution

Vigo specified and supplied a juicing line including a Voran 100PS hydraulic press. A WA/LC wash mill with elevator was included in the specification to minimise labour. Equipment to pasteurise, fill and cap bottles was also specified.
