Disgorging equipment

Vigo supplies machines for the disgoring process of sparkling wine and cider production. The range includes:

  • Neck freezers to freeze the yeast deposit formed inside the cap of the inverted bottle during riddling/remuage, and faciliate its removal
  • Crown cap remover - the pressure in the bottle forces out the frozen plug as the crown cap is removed
  • Disgoring machines which remove the frozen yeast plug, carry out dosage, and top up the bottle, ready for corking and wiring - these machines increase throughput, decrease labour costs, and reduce product wastage
