Covid-19 update

No doubt for you as well, the last few months have been a challenge but we were relieved to be able to continue operating at safe levels and despatching orders throughout the crisis, albeit at a much limited capacity. Here's where we're at now ...

WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT DELIVERY TIMES?

There was a minor impact on our delivery times at the height of the government restrictions, however, we are currently within normal delivery times for orders under 80kg [Delivery Method will state <20, <40, <60 or <80]. For orders which need to be despatched on a pallet [Delivery Method will state <300], please allow up to 3 working days for delivery (mainland Britain addresses). If your order is urgent, please call us on 01404 892 100 and we will do all we can to help you.

HOW ARE YOUR STOCK LEVELS?

We worked very hard at the outset to shore up our stocks of essential consumables. Parts of our supply chain were inevitably affected by the impact of the virus in various countries/regions, particularly Northern Italy. Currently only one or two of our suppliers are continuing to face manufacturing challenges and we remain in close contact with them. On the whole, however, we've managed to ensure relatively healthy stock levels.

For products available to order online, the product page will indicate whether the item is in or out of stock by a green tick or a red cross; if the quantity in your shopping basket exceeds the stock available you will see the following message in red: 'Not enough stock available of xxx - xxx items will be back ordered'. If you need to find out the stock levels or lead times of any of our online products, please contact us.

For products not available to order online (e.g., larger pieces of equipment), please contact us to ask about stock levels/lead times.

WHAT RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE?

It is our number one priority to protect staff and support our customers while government restrictions and guidelines are in place in response to Covid-19. As a result, we are currently operating on slightly reduced staffing levels and some of our staff are working from home. In accordance with government guidelines, we have adopted both COVID-secure risk control and additional measures. Please note, whilst these measures are in place, we cannot receive customers in the building unless they have made an appointment in advance and follow our COVID-secure procedure.

DO YOU DO CLICK-AND-COLLECT?

Collection is available for online orders. Simply select 'Customer to Collect' from the dropdown on the Delivery Method page of the checkout and advise us in the Delivery Instructions box when you would like to collect. We will contact you after you order is placed to confirm the collection date is possible. Same day collection is usually possible with sufficient notice but please wait for us to confirm before you head off. Collection is available 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. In order to help keep the Vigo site Covid safe, when you arrive please do not enter the building (call 01404 892 100). Please ensure you wear a face mask when collecting your order and adhere to the 2mtr social distancing site rule.

I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT TO DISCUSS EQUIPMENT - WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

If you need to visit us, you must call us in advance on 01404 892 100 to discuss this. Due to the COVID-secure risk control we currently have in place, visitors can only be received by prior appointment, and will need to follow our COVID-secure procedure and measures. This will be explained to you when you telephone us in advance.

WHAT ABOUT ENGINEERING SUPPORT?

We continue to provide engineering support by phone and onsite. Support over the phone is preferable at this time, however, our engineers are carrying out onsite visits by pre-arrangement where COVID-secure measures are in place in line with government restrictions and guidelines. As always, our engineers wear the appropriate PPE.

For servicing an maintenance work, we recommend you give us as much notice as you possibly can, not only due to the current circumstances, but our traditional 'busy season' started prematurely this year.

DELIVERIES INTO VIGO

Site access remains open for carriers (delivery drivers). Please be aware that we practise 2m social distancing and all visitors must do the same whilst on our site.
