Delivery

Delivery

It is our number one priority to protect our staff and support our customers while the government restrictions are in place in response to the Coronavirus. As a result, we are currently operating on reduced staffing levels.

Shipment methods & carriers

In the event of your order having to be despatched on a pallet, we will contact you after you have placed your order to arrange delivery. Pallet deliveries are normally delivered by C&D.

Carton deliveries are normally delivered by DPD or Fedex.

A signature will be required for all carton, pallet, and Royal Mail recorded deliveries. If you have not received your delivery within the typical delivery time for the delivery zone (see below), please contact us on 01404 892100 or email us at sales@vigoltd.com.

Please note, we used to despatch small packages via Royal Mail, however, due to the restrictions in place, small packages will be sent out via standard carrier as a temporary measure.

How delivery charges are calculated & delivery zones

New delivery zones apply as from 12/02/202 in order to bring our delivery zones in-line with our carriers’ zones. We have revised our delivery charges, where necessary, to reflect this. The delivery charge for your order is confirmed at Checkout.

Packing & delivery charges are calculated automatically according to …

Either:

  • the weight band the order falls within (either <20kg, <40kg, <60kg, <80kg, <300kg, <600kg or <900kg); this is calculated by either the weight of the order, or the volumetric weight of the order if the volumetric weight is higher than the weight of the product/s [the volumetric weight is calculated using a formula provided by our carriers]

Or:

  • specific features of a product which require it to be delivered by a specific method of delivery (due to carrier restrictions or fragility, for example)

and:

  • the postcode of the delivery address and the delivery zone it falls within (there are 31 delivery zones, from zone 10 to zone 41).

After you have logged in (or Registered if you are a new customer), the delivery charge of your order and zone is confirmed on the Delivery Method page of the Checkout, once you have confirmed your delivery address.

If you haven’t logged in (or Registered), the website will estimate the delivery charge of your order by assuming the delivery address is in a zone in central England. It will say ‘Delivery (Postcode unknown - PLEASE LOGIN FOR EXACT CHARGE)’.

'Shipping Price Not Available'

If you’ve confirmed your delivery address and the Delivery Method page says ‘Delivery charge cannot be established - please call 01404 892100 to discuss delivery’, the website is unable to match your postcode to a delivery zone; please call us on 01404 892100 for help.
