Voran WA LC wash mills & elevator

WALC40 wash mills with elevator are manufactured by internationally renowned Voran, suppliers of fruit processing equipment since 1925. These washing and milling units greatly free up time spent shovelling pomace into the hydraulic bed apple press, and reduce waste - reducing costs and allowing greater throughput. When used with the appropriate belt press, they wash fruit and deliver it milled directly to the belt press, automating the milling and pressing process. The WA/LC40 has the following features:

  • Capacity of up to 3000 kg per hour
  • Suitable for milling apples and pears (some other fruits and vegetables can be processed - please contact us to discuss)
  • Fruit elevated to mill from water bath by auger
  • Fruit receives a spray of water during elevation
  • Variable speed
  • Stainless steel construction throughout
  • Versions available for the Voran Hydraulic Swivel (PS) Bed Presses , Voran Hydraulic Swivel (180PS) Bed Stainless Steel Press, and the Voran EBP500 / 580 / 650 Belt Presses
  • Single or 3 phase versions available

Installed & commissioned by our Engineers.

Application

  • Different graters (perforated screens) are available depending on the degree of milling required
  • Versions available for the Voran hydraulic swivel (PS) bed presses and the Voran EBP500/580/650 belt presses

Features

  • Fruit is fed into a washing bath and is elevated into the mill, receiving a spray of water while being elevated
  • The fruit is pulverised by a heavy rotor and pulp is discharged through a perforated screen - for different types of fruit, screens can be changed for versions with different sized perforations to optimise the consistency of the pulp for pressing, which can allow you to get optimum juice yields.

Voran are the market leaders in fruit juice processing equipment. The Voran range of wash mills/elevators from Vigo offer you the following features:

  • Robust and heavy duty mills
  • Continuous, automatic operation where operated with a belt press
  • Minimal supervision required - reducing labour costs

Voran

Established in 1925, Voran is the market leader in commercial fruit processing equipment.

We have been supplying Voran equipment since 1987. Here are the reasons why we choose Voran for their presses, mills and reception equipment:

  • Their extensive specialist experience in apple processing (coming up to 100 years)
  • Voran's presses are designed to achieve excellent juice yields from fresh and stored fruit (up to 80%, depending on model, fruit variety and fruit quality) for optimised raw juice quality (freshness, flavour, aroma & structure) and low juice turbidity
  • Their equipment is of high build quality and extremely robust - there are many Voran presses in the UK over 20 years old which are still giving good service today
  • Their presses and mills are designed for fast juice collection for minimal oxidation
  • Their range is modular and process-based
  • They manufacture in-house at their site in Austria and so are in full control of the manufacturing process
  • Their manufacturing processes are optimised to produce high quality equipment through stringent quality assurance
  • They operate via ISO 9001 quality assurance standards and are TÜV AUSTRIA certified
  • Their commitment to product development in response to the needs of juice producers and market trends has been demonstrated year on year
  • Voran’s original vision was to trade with integrity and to engender trust - these core values have remained fundamental to the success of the company
