Gripple No 1 is used for tensioning at the metal end post of vineyard trellising system and is manufactured by Gripple®, a world leading manufacturer of wire-joining & tensioning systems.

The trellising wire is pushed through the hole in the metal end post, and a Gripple No 1 is inserted at the tail end and pushed tight against the hole.

NB Use the Gripple Torq Tensioning Tool (part code 90132 - available separately) to tension the wire, as shown in the diagram.

NB Additional images show the Gripple No 1 in use on trellising wire at a metal end post.

NB If 50+ Gripple No 1s are required it is more economical to purchase the No 1 Starter Pack (part code 90208) as listed on Gripple Starter Packs; or the No 1 Tool Deal (part code 90207) as listed on Gripple Tool Deals - both options include the Gripple Torq Tensioning Tool.
