Conditions for online ordering

Please note, online orders can only be placed if the billing and delivery address is within the UK (England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland), on the Channel Islands, or on the Isle of Man.

For orders to the Republic of Ireland, unfortunately, our website is not yet set up for online orders. Please contact us on 01404 892100 during office hours to place your order.

For orders outside of the British Isles, please contact us on 01404 892100 or email us at sales@vigoltd.com.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept online orders for weight in excess of 900kg. Please contact us on 01404 892100 during office hours for a quote for delivery.

Shipment methods & carriers

In the event of your order having to be despatched on a pallet, we will contact you after you have placed your order to arrange delivery. Pallet deliveries are normally delivered by C&D - see below.

Carton deliveries are normally delivered by DPD or Fedex.

A signature will be required for all carton and pallet orders. If you have not received your delivery within the typical delivery time for the delivery zone (see below), please contact us on 01404 892100 or email us at sales@vigoltd.com.

How delivery charges are calculated & delivery zones

Once you have logged in or entered you postcode in the basket, the delivery charge for your order is confirmed at Checkout

Packing & delivery charges are calculated automatically according to …

Either:

  • the weight band the order falls within (either <20kg, <40kg, <60kg, <80kg, <300kg, <600kg or <900kg); this is calculated by either the weight of the order, or the volumetric weight of the order if the volumetric weight is higher than the weight of the product/s [the volumetric weight is calculated using a formula provided by our carriers]

Or:

  • specific features of a product which require it to be delivered by a specific method of delivery (due to carrier restrictions or fragility, for example)

and:

  • the postcode of the delivery address and the delivery zone it falls within (there are 31 delivery zones, from zone 10 to zone 41).

After you have logged in (or Registered if you are a new customer), the delivery charge of your order and zone is confirmed on the Delivery Method page of the Checkout, once you have confirmed your delivery address.

If you haven’t logged in (or Registered), the website will estimate the delivery charge of your order by assuming the delivery address is in a zone in central England. It will say ‘Delivery (Postcode unknown - PLEASE LOGIN FOR EXACT CHARGE)’.

Post-Brexit, what do delivery charges to Northern Ireland include?

Delivery charges to Northern Ireland include customs export clearance. Please note that delivery charges do not include any duties or VAT which may be applicable on import. You are responsible for any duties and VAT that may be applicable on import.

'Shipping Price Not Showing'

If you’ve confirmed your delivery address and the Delivery Method page says ‘Delivery charge cannot be established - please call 01404 892100 to discuss delivery’, or 'No items available to display', the website is unable to match your postcode to a delivery zone; please call us on 01404 892100 for help.

Delivery Times:

Deliveries of standard (boxed) orders

For standard deliveries (i.e., orders sent out in cartons), typical delivery times during normal working hours (excluding Bank holidays and the Christmas & New Year break) are as follows:

  • Mainland England, Wales & Scottish lowlands, Isle of Wight: typically 2/3 working days
  • Scottish Highlands, Isles of Scilly, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland: typically 3 to 4 working days
  • Scottish Islands: typically 4 to 7 working days

Deliveries on pallets

As mentioned above, if your order is bulky and needs to be delivered on a pallet we will contact you to arrange delivery.

Unless otherwise advised we will assume that there are no access limitations for large vehicles. Such limitations may incur an additional charge. Please advise us at the time we contact you if there are any access restrictions (i.e. narrow lanes, height restrictions, turning restrictions, surface etc) so that we can alert the carriers - we typically use C&D South West.

You will be responsible for the unloading and positioning of the goods/equipment and we can advise you on this if required. Unless otherwise advised we will assume that you have suitable equipment (e.g., a forklift) for offloading the palleted goods/equipment. A forklift and pallet truck are recommended for offloading and positioning of equipment. Please advise us at the time we contact you if you don't have offloading equipment; if appropriate we may be able to request a lorry with a tail-lift facility to lower the pallet/s to the ground.

Please be aware that failure to advise us of such restrictions and/or the ability to unload the vehicle could mean that your goods/equipment are not delivered and a re-delivery will be chargeable.

Please note that as soon as the goods/equipment is lifted off the bed of the vehicle you are responsible for the insuring of the goods/equipment and Vigo will not accept any liability for damage incurred by the unloading of the equipment.
