Piano® oak barrels are crafted in the heart of Burgundy by Tonnellerie Rousseau, a family-run cooperage now in its 3rd generation, with no less than 11 'Meilleurs Ouvriers de France' ['Best Craftsmen of France'] who were trained onsite.
These barrels are part of Tonnellerie Rouseau's 'Expert' range, which are characterised by a unique seasoning of woods, and special toasting in order to create moderate oak impact, and a quick integration with wine / oak. The range is perfect for short maturations, between 6 and 10 months. Tonnellerie Rouseau grow their own selection French oak for the Expert range.
Piano® is a barrel developed for white grapes varieties. It underlines the fruit, brings freshness, while respecting the characteristics of grapes and the soil. It is the 'most discreet of the range':

Several times a year they check the quality of the air and water in their workshops and in their lumber yard to ensure that there is no contamination by organochlorines
