EP Destoning machines from Voran

The EP range off destoning machines are manufactured by internationally renowned Voran, suppliers of fruit processing equipment since 1925.

EP destoners are a fast and easy way of processing a variety of stoned fruits, such as plums, cherries, damsons, peaches and apricots, with minimal labour costs. Two models are available:

  • the EP500 which processes up to 500 kg of fruit per hour
  • the EP1000, which processes up to 1000 kg per hour
  • See Application for operating details
  • Interchangeable perforated screens to suit different types of fruits (See Features)

Please call us on 01404 892 100 to discuss your destoning requirements.

See the 'Voran' tab (below) for customer Case Studies which feature equipment from the Voran range.

Application

Operation

  • Fruit is fed into the hopper, and is transported into the machine by auger
  • The fruit is then pushed by a rotor with three blades through a perforated screen, and clean stones are ejected
  • The fruit pulp can be pumped out of the machine for further processing

Features

Screens with different perforation sizes can be used for different fruits:

  • 3mm for cherries
  • 5mm for plums
  • 8mm for apricots

Screens are quickly interchangeable. The incline of the cylinder can also be adjusted to determine the duration that the fruit is in the machine. If desired, an SA elevator can be used to rinse the fruit and feed it into the machine. We also offer a range of eccentric screw pumps to transport the fruit pulp for further processing.

The machine is constructed with stainless steel, and is fully portable.

Voran

Established in 1925, Voran is the market leader in commercial fruit processing equipment.

We have been supplying Voran equipment since 1987. Here are the reasons why we choose Voran for their presses, mills and reception equipment:

  • Their extensive specialist experience in apple processing (coming up to 100 years)

  • Their equipment is of high build quality and extremely robust - there are many Voran presses in the UK over 20 years old which are still giving good service today
  • Their presses and mills are designed for fast juice collection for minimal oxidation
  • Their range is modular and process-based
  • They manufacture in-house at their site in Austria and so are in full control of the manufacturing process
  • Their manufacturing processes are optimised to produce high quality equipment through stringent quality assurance
  • They operate via ISO 9001 quality assurance standards and are TÜV AUSTRIA certified
