Drovers Hill Farm is an organic farm which makes organic apple juice & cider. Mark & Nicola's production aims were ...

We supplied, installed & commissioned a Voran automatic milling/pressing system, an in-bottle pasteuriser and a capper & labelling machine.
Drovers Hill Farm is an organic farm based in the Chilterns owned by Mark and Nicola Knop. They grow over 15 varieties of apple in their orchard, which they use to make apple juice and cider.
Mark and Nicola required a system to produce juice with minimal labour, along with equipment to fill, cap and label their bottles.
We supplied and installed a complete apple juice and cider production system including a Voran EPB350 belt press and SA wash mill, allowing them to press around 300 kg of apples per hour with minimal labour; a gravity filler; an in-bottle pasteuriser; a hand-held pneumatic screw cap tightener; and a VL/1 semi-automatic labelling machine.
Mark and Nicola now offer a apple pressing service for local people who want to make apple juice out of their garden apples.
Vigo have proved themselves over the years to providing an increasingly high level of service from advice through to design and supply. Equipment supplied by Vigo has been the foundation of successful growth of my company from hobby to a premium craft cider company now supplying national and world markets. I am very grateful for the assistance provided from the dedicated engineers, support staff and management over the many years we have worked together.'
