Voran RM 2.2 centrifugal mill

The RM 2.2 is a heavy duty centrifugal mill manufactured by internationally renowned Voran, suppliers of fruit processing equipment since 1925. Originally designed for milling apples, it is also suitable for use with various other fruits and some vegetables too - see below.

  • Capacity of up to 1000 kg per hour
  • A robust mill ideal for apple juice / cider production
  • Ideal for use with all hydraulic bed presses
  • Suitable for fruit mashing for distilleries - see Application for types of fruits
  • Suitable for producing cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices - see application
  • Fruit is fed manually into the hopper, pulverised by a heavy rotor, and discharged through a perforated screen which resembles a grater
  • Interchangeable perforation screens (graters) can be easily swapped for different perforation sizes, allowing you to produce pulp of the optimum consistency for the type and quality of fruit you plan to press.
  • A Voran Pomace Trough (part code 91410) is available separately to fit under the RM2.2 mill, with a sloped end and smooth sides to assist with the shovelling of pomace
  • Supplied with a 16 amp, 5 pin plug

Ideal for use with the Large Scoop (part code 99176 - available separately).

Voran

Established in 1925, Voran is the market leader in commercial fruit processing equipment.

We have been supplying Voran equipment since 1987. Here are the reasons why we choose Voran for their presses, mills and reception equipment:

  • Their extensive specialist experience in apple processing (coming up to 100 years)
  • Voran's presses are designed to achieve excellent juice yields from fresh and stored fruit (up to 80%, depending on model, fruit variety and fruit quality) for optimised raw juice quality (freshness, flavour, aroma & structure) and low juice turbidity
  • Their equipment is of high build quality and extremely robust - there are many Voran presses in the UK over 20 years old which are still giving good service today
  • Their presses and mills are designed for fast juice collection for minimal oxidation
  • Their range is modular and process-based
  • They manufacture in-house at their site in Austria and so are in full control of the manufacturing process
  • Their manufacturing processes are optimised to produce high quality equipment through stringent quality assurance
  • They operate via ISO 9001 quality assurance standards and are TÜV AUSTRIA certified
